Between my sister Karla here in California, and my sisters-in-law Kathy, Mindy and Sherry in Vermont, we like to make cards for major holidays and birthdays, and Easter is no exception. Here are two of the cards that I received in the mail this year:
The bunny card, making good use of various punches, was made by Sherry Pakulski, and the yellow and purple Pansy card was made by Kathy Degree, both of Colchester, VT.
I also got a very nice card this year from Kathy Pavloski in my Stampin’ Up! downline, made with the Indescribable Gift stamp set found on page 35 of the 2015 Spring Occasions catalog, colored with different shades of pink and coral alcohol markers. Beautiful!
My card this year was made with a retired Stampin’ Up! set from 15 years ago, called Funny Bunny, but I did use our new Berry Basket die cutter on page 21 of the 2015 Spring Occasions catalog – I have been using this die for so many things this season, from actual baskets to the basket images on card fronts like this Easter basket egg holder!
My Visiting Teaching partner Dawnell and I also made good use of this die for Easter; I made up the baskets and lined them with Stampin’ Up! fabric that coordinated with our card stock colors, and she made some Almond Cookies with pink frosting, then we delivered them to our Visiting Teaching sisters on April 1st – no April Fool joke there! We also used the Flower Patch stamp set and coordinating Flower Fair Framelits from page 156 of the 2014-2015 Annual Catalog to decorate our baskets:
One last project that I want to highlight was made by Kathy Pavloski for one of our Stampin’ Up! meetings in March – she filled these darling Carrot Favors with buttons and ribbon for all in attendance.
Spring is such a beautiful time of the year to create and share what we make with others!
